Students determine human impact on high school pond
Students collaborated with the NRCS office to determine possible solutions to reduce the human impact on the pond at Muscatine High School.

Students launch water balloons to study projectile motion.
Optimizing a rare weather event, the students launched water balloons in February 2017. Constants that were kept the same included the stretch of the launcher, angle of launch and height of launched balloon. Students determined distances of launch and calculated likely initial velocity of launch. The students then determined where balloons would hit a target based on earlier data.
