The Ulm Sparrow
According to legend, the people of Ulm needed a large beam for the construction of Ulm Munster, but could not get it through the city gate. Ready to tear down the city gate, they noticed a sparrow carrying a straw for its nest. The sparrow turned it from crosswise to lengthwise in its beak. The people of Ulm realized they needed to carry their loads differently.
